Hampton Roads Leads in Q1 Home Sales!

The state of Virginia has been doing increasingly well over the last year, but Hampton Roads exceeded state trends.
In the first quarter of 2015, the median price for a home in Hampton Roads was $202,000, up nearly 5% from the first quarter of 2014 and housing officials expect it to keep getting better. 4,851 residences were sold in the Hampton Roads region during the first quarter of 2015, according to the report. That’s up 11.4 percent from the 4,356 residences sold during the first quarter of 201. James City and York counties are currently leading home-sale growth on the Peninsula with Chesapeake and Suffolk also posting impressive residential home sale gains last quarter.
